How do I donate online?
Click on the yellow “donate” button at the top right-hand corner of this page and follow the instructions. You can use a credit card or your Paypal account. All information entered is strictly confidential and securely protected.

You can make a tribute gift in honour or memory of a loved one. We are so encouraged to get notes such as “This gift is for the great care you gave to my grandmother.”

How do online donors get a receipt?
Acknowledgement and a receipt will be mailed to you within 30 days for all donations over $10.

Can online donors make an anonymous donation?
Yes. Check the appropriate box when prompted.

Can I give monthly?
Ongoing gifts are a wonderful way to provide steady support. If you’d like to make monthly donations using your credit card, please call us at 905-640-1911 ext. 1123.

Other ways to make a donation:
You can make a donation on-site by cash, cheque and money order, Visa or MasterCard. All donations of $10 or more will receive a receipt for income tax purposes.

Can I make a gift of stocks or publicly traded securities?
Yes. Call us and we’ll put you in contact with a representative from Abundance Canada who can facilitate the transfer and explain the tax advantages etc. Abundance Canada website Other organizations offer similar stewardship services as well.

What is a planned gift?
Planned gifts are usually major gifts made from capital assets rather than from income. Many donors have more assets than they realize.

A planned gift can include immediate gifts of cash, bonds, stocks, real estate or life insurance.

Deferred gifts include leaving a gift in your will, trusts, life insurance policies, real estate and more. Estate planning benefits you, your family and the charities you support.

Why make a planned gift?
Planned giving offers you a way to leave a lasting legacy to the causes you care about. We are tremendously grateful for donors who have chosen to honour Parkview in this way. Such legacies contribute significantly to maintaining the stellar care we provide to seniors in our community.

Making a planned gift can provide you with immediate or delayed tax relief, and can reduce the amount of income tax paid by your estate.
